With a degree in journalism from Hasan Prishtina University and experience at leading media outlets like Radio Free Europe and Deutsche Welle, I specialize in long-form reporting on climate change, transitional justice, and societal issues. While my primary focus is investigative journalism, I am always open to exploring new platforms, including TV, to share these important stories.
My work blends meticulous research with empathetic storytelling, covering topics ranging from climate diplomacy in the Western Balkans to sensitive reporting on marginalized communities. As a fellow of Balkan Transitional Justice and a participant in international workshops on gender-responsive and mobile journalism, I am committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and making journalism a force for positive change.

“I met Albina Kastrati during her third year in the Journalism Department at the University of Prishtina, and I was immediately impressed by her passion and persistent approach in my course. She was one of the rare students who broadened her horizons, particularly regarding sensitive reporting on minority communities.
Albina had a modest and cooperative attitude toward her peers, contributing positively to the classroom environment.”
-Jeta Abazi Gashi, Professor at University of Prishtina
“Ms. Kastrati has shown that is highly motivated, demonstrated leadership in teamwork with other colleagues in class, and was involved in extracurricular activities demonstrating her commitment to her colleagues, the University, and the community in general. Her experience in television has expanded her horizon in politics and combining with research skills in this matter would be very important for her career, but also a future researcher in the field of journalism, which is very necessary in a post-conflictual society and conflict-ridden region, such as the Western Balkans.”
– Dren Gerguri PhD, Professor at University of Prishtina
“Albina's proactive and curious nature consistently stood out during her time with us.
Her ability ot adapt and take initiative was evident in the diverse range of tasks she undertook, from producing compelling articles and video stories ot translating and narrating audio reports for radio broadcasts. Notably, Albina brought a strong sense of purpose of her storytelling. I wholeheartedly recommend Albina and I am confident she will excel in any opportunity she pursues.”
